Care instructions

※please note※

Please do not wash the entire product in the washing machine, as the texture of the fabric will change, and the padding will become uneven or hardened, causing the product to lose its shape.

1: Daily care

We recommend brushing with a pet brush called a slicker brush.

Although some hair will come off, it can also be used to straighten tangled hair and remove small dust and dirt on the surface.
However, unlike real pets, stuffed animals do not grow new fur and cannot be replanted into the fabric, so please be careful not to brush too much.

2: If you are concerned about white fabric or stains

・Cleaning method using a neutral detergent Dilute the neutral detergent in your home with water, soak it in a sponge or cloth and pat the dirty part, or apply it to a toothbrush and gently rub the dirty part. Wipe with water and dry thoroughly in the shade.

・Cleaning with spray-type electrolyzed alkaline cleaning water It is also effective to spray the surface of the main unit and wipe it off with a dry cloth.

*In any case, if the water penetrates into the filling, it will take a considerable amount of time to dry completely, and as mentioned above, the filling will harden, so please only clean the surface.

[Chanchanko made with Kurume Kasuri fabric]

This is an original product planned and developed by Creative Factory Hoshinoho.
We use Kurume Kasuri, a traditional cotton fabric that represents Japan and has been produced in the Chikugo region for over 200 years.

"Kurume Kasuri" is produced using complex and highly advanced traditional techniques in which threads are tied together, dyed, and then the tied areas remain undyed, creating patterns.
Among these, hand-woven kasuri, which can only be produced in small quantities each year using techniques such as indigo dyeing, hand tying, and hand weaving with a throwing shuttle, was designated an Intangible Cultural Property in 1957.

In addition, many of the Kurume Kasuri patterns used in this product, which are made using power looms, have been designated as "Traditional Crafts Designated by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry in 1976. " It is a very valuable fabric that takes two to four months to complete.

[Cuddly original design]

~Nozomi~ Designed by Aki Narahara.
Just like human chanchankos, each one is carefully handmade and stuffed with cotton.
The small pocket on the back is an accent.
The sides are not completely sewn, but are fastened with wooden buttons and elastic, making it easy to adjust the size and easy to put on and take off.

A certificate with the shipping date and the designer's signature will be enclosed, and the item will be wrapped in a paper box that is only available on the online shop. Please be sure to read the instructions on how to wear and care for the item.

[The thoughts behind the floral pattern]

The floral pattern has the meaning of adding flowers to new beginnings and celebrations in life by weaving seasonal flowers. It is imbued with the wish to "give flowers to someone" and "add flowers to life."

[About the size of the floral patterned chanchanko]
