Care instructions

※please note※

Please do not wash the entire product in the washing machine, as the texture of the fabric will change, and the padding will become uneven or hardened, causing the product to lose its shape.

1: Daily care

We recommend brushing with a pet brush called a slicker brush.

Although some hair will come off, it can also be used to straighten tangled hair and remove small dust and dirt on the surface.
However, unlike real pets, stuffed animals do not grow new fur and cannot be replanted into the fabric, so please be careful not to brush too much.

2: If you are concerned about white fabric or stains

・Cleaning method using a neutral detergent Dilute the neutral detergent in your home with water, soak it in a sponge or cloth and pat the dirty part, or apply it to a toothbrush and gently rub the dirty part. Wipe with water and dry thoroughly in the shade.

・Cleaning with spray-type electrolyzed alkaline cleaning water It is also effective to spray the surface of the main unit and wipe it off with a dry cloth.

*In any case, if the water penetrates into the filling, it will take a considerable amount of time to dry completely, and as mentioned above, the filling will harden, so please only clean the surface.

Cuddly Official Online Shop exclusive.

"Nemuri Kin-no-suke Wearing a Kurume-Kasuri Chan-chan-ko" is now available.

This is a set product of a plushie and a chan-chan-ko.The plushie body and thechan-chan-ko will be wrapped in their original packaging and shipped together. Please enjoy dressing it up once it arrives.

Nemuri Kin-no-suke
This is a cat plushie.
The main body fabric uses jacquard-woven high pile.
Unlike previous printing methods, jacquard weaving involves meticulously arranging silk threads of different colors one by one through computer processing, characterized by the color remaining consistent from the root to the tip of the pile.
This allowed us to achieve the precise tiger pattern of our original design, which we had long hoped for.

【Nemuri Kin-no-suke Profile】

Male, 7 years old

Resides at a long-established tempura restaurant in Takanawa.
He used to frequent the shop, but he's now banned because he begged customers for shrimp tails, which he loves.
He's earnest and caring, earning him the deep trust of the neighborhood cats, but he's still single, and there are persistent rumors of a female cat allergy.

【Chan-chan-ko made with Kurume Kasuri】

This is an original product planned and developed by Creative factory HOSHINOHO.

It uses "Kurume Kasuri," a representative traditional cotton fabric of Japan that has been produced in the Chikugo region for over 220 years.

"Kurume Kasuri" is produced using complex and advanced traditional techniques where threads are tied, dyed, and areas that are tied are not dyed, thereby creating patterns.
Among these, hand-woven kasuri, produced in small quantities annually using techniques such as "indigo dyeing, hand-tying, and hand-weaving with a shuttle," was designated as a "national Important Intangible Cultural Property" in 1957.

Additionally, many Kurume Kasuri fabrics, including the one used in this product, which are made using power looms, were designated as "traditional crafts by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry in 1976." It is a very precious textile that takes two to four months to complete.

All kasuri fabrics with patterns used for the chan-chan-ko are from Yamamura Kasuri Kobo https://peraichi.com/landing_pages/view/bqauj,

and the plain kasuri fabric on the collar is from Sakata Orimono http://sakataorimono.com/.

Cuddly Original Design】

Designed by Aki Narahara of ~Ki~.
Just like human chan-chan-ko, each one is carefully handmade with cotton stuffing.
A small pocket on the bottom adds a charming accent.
The sides are not completely sewn shut but are fastened with wooden buttons and elastic, making them easy to adjust and put on and take off.

A certificate with the shipping date and designer's signature will be enclosed, and the product will be delivered in an online shop exclusive gift box. A paper detailing how to wear and care for the product is enclosed; please be sure to read it.

【Meaning behind the Small Plum Pattern】

The plum pattern is considered auspicious, signifying blooming even in hardship. The Japanese word for plum, "ume," is a pun for "umu" (to give birth), so it has also been used to pray for safe childbirth.
Additionally, flower patterns have the meaning of adding color to life's milestones and celebrations by weaving seasonal flowers. It conveys the wish to "hold flowers" or "add color to one's life."

【Regarding the Size of the Small Plum Pattern Chan-chan-ko】

The chan-chan-ko can be worn by most cats such as "Somegorō and His Merry Friends" and "Charming Friends of Montmartre," but Koharu, Chibisome, Chibipin, Maria Relax, BeBe, and CoCo cannot wear it due to their body sizes. We appreciate your understanding.
